Japan
FEBRUARY 18-26

Kids N Culture will head to the Land of the Rising Sun. Japan has had many identities through the centuries, and its story is a fascinating one. Tokyo is the modern-day center of pop culture and business, while Kyoto remains the most traditional of the big cities. The country is filled with natural beauty— we will see it from the window of the high-speed Shinkansen train and as we hike around the majestic lakes and mountains of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. We will see temples, bamboo forests, and immerse ourselves fully in the culture with a traditional ryokan stay in Hakone.

APRIL 20-30

Kids N Culture will head to the far east once again, and for the first time ever to Vietnam. We will explore the vast underground Cu Chi Tunnels used during the Vietnam War, and better understand the conflict that left the country divided for too long. We will tour Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) and see the European-inspired architecture, visit the famous China Beach, see the striking Thai Hoa Palace in Hué and cruise along HaLong Bay while eating seafood caught that day from local fisherman. Next is Hanoi, including the Temple of Literature and the Ngoc Son Temple.
